Nevada Rural Counties RSVP Program will host the July 4 Celebration and Carnival in Mills Park  today.

All day carnival wristbands are $30 at the park.
Carnival starts at 11 a.m.; VIP Dinner starts at 5 p.m., Live Remote with 102.9 FM, 6-9 p.m.; fireworks accompaniment on 102.9; Fireworks by PyroGuys starting at approximately 9:30 p.m.

Through Monday, July 5
The Nevada State Railroad Museum will be giving rides from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on historic wood-burning locomotives the Inyo, and the Glenbrook. All-inclusive wristbands are $15 and are available each day of the event and features admission to the museum and unlimited train rides.

The Carson City Symphony will perform on July 4 as part of the Genoa Americana Celebration in Mormon Station State Park. Festivities begin with a children’s and pet parade at 10 a.m., present Americana bands from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and end with the Symphony at 4:30 p.m. Genoa Volunteer Fire Department will sell chicken dinners. Admission is free. The program includes show tunes, marches, and pops music, and more. It will end about 6 p.m. Seating is on the lawn. The audience is invited to bring blankets or lawn chairs. The Town of Minden and the Carson Valley Inn are hosting a kids bike parade and free barbecue 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 4 in Minden Park. Information, TownofMinden.com

The Carson Valley Pops Orchestra is celebrating the 4th of July with a Patriotic Concert at the Heritage Park in Gardnerville. Concert starts at 11:30 a.m. and the Voices of the Sierra will also participate. Information, Margaret Biggs, 775-843-0830.

Virginia City’s Fourth of July Celebration officially kicks off at noon with the parade down C Street lined with red, white and blue and candy-collecting kids waving their flags. Advance registration for the parade is encouraged. Starting at 6 p.m. David John and the Comstock Cowboys, a free concert, will perform at the Bucket of Blood. At dark, will be fireworks.

Battle Born Harley-Davidson, 2900 Research Way in Carson City, and the Marines MC Battle Born Chapter will host the 2021 freedom ride from noon-4 p.m. This will be a Fourth of July poker run. https://www.facebook.com/events/2760655957527155/

Stateline will host Fourth of July fireworks at 9:15 p.m. in the Stateline corridor, from atop the Michael Laub building.

Fernley Fourth of July starts with a pancake breakfast sponsored by The Fernley Masonic Lodge #34. After the breakfast, the town will have a parade down Main Street. Celebrations continue throughout the day at Out of Tow Park. A fireworks show will take place at night.
