Carson City road report for September 27 to October 3, 2021

The following applies to Sept. 27-Oct. 3:
Road closures are expected at the following locations due to road/utility work:
• 2nd Street at Curry Street will be closed on Monday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for road construction. Please plan accordingly and follow detour signs.
• Curry Street between 5th Street and Musser Street will be closed in the northbound direction, Monday – Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for road construction. Pedestrian closures and detours will also be in place. Please plan accordingly.
• Kings Canyon Road west of Longview Way remains closed seven days a week, all day, for roadway reconstruction. Only local residential access will be provided. The Waterfall Trailhead and parking area is closed. There is no access or parking for the trails. Please do not come up Kings Canyon unless you live in the area.
Lane restrictions are expected at the following locations due to road/utility work:
• Short line striping and painting will take place citywide, Sunday – Friday, 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Please use caution and do not pass painting trucks. Also, please do not drive in wet paint.
• Clear Creek Road between Carson Street and Vista Grande Boulevard will be reduced to one lane, Wednesday and Thursday, 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., for pavement preservation and striping. Please plan accordingly for minor delays.
• Curry Street between Rhodes Street and 10th Street will be reduced to one lane with flaggers, Wednesday-Saturday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for road reconstruction. Please use caution and expect delays.
• Deer Run Road between Highway 50 and Sedge Road will be reduced to one lane, Sunday-Tuesday, 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., for pavement preservation and striping. Please use caution and expect delays.
• Goldfield Avenue between Carson Meadows and Rawhide Way will be reduced to one lane with flaggers, Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for road reconstruction. Please use caution and expect delays.
• Long Street between Roop Street and Rand Street will be reduced to one lane with flaggers, Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for roadway reconstruction. Please expect delays and consider an alternate route.
• Long Street at Roop Street will be flagger controlled, Tuesday and Wednesday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for roadway reconstruction. Please expect delays and consider and alternate route.
• Marian Avenue at Long Street will be flagger controlled, Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for roadway reconstruction. Please expect delays and consider an alternate route.
• Molly Street at Long Street will be flagger controlled, Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for roadway reconstruction. Please expect delays and consider an alternate route.
• Rand Street between William Street and Camille Drive will be reduced to one lane with flaggers, Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for roadway reconstruction. Please expect delays and consider an alternate route.
• State Street at Long Street will be flagger controlled, Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for roadway reconstruction. Please expect delays and consider an alternate route.
