Fallon resident dies in Nov. 16 crash

A 24-year-old Fallon resident died during a Nov. 16 crash at the U.S. 50A at Fulkerson Road, according to Nevada State Police.

The preliminary investigation indicates that a 2006 Saturn Vue with two adult occupants and three juveniles was traveling eastbound on US50A at Fulkerson Road. For reasons not known at this time, the SUV departed the roadway to the right onto the outside dirt shoulder, rotated counterclockwise and overturned.

Both the driver and front right passenger — both adults — were ejected from the vehicle, according to a press release. The investigation is still ongoing in determining who the driver was.

One adult occupant, Victoria Jasmin Villareal, 24, from Fallon, died at the scene.

The second adult occupant was transported to a hospital with serious injuries.

The three juvenile passengers in the rear of the vehicle were transported to a hospital with minor injuries.

Nevada State Police Highway Patrol Northern Command West M.I.R.T (Multidisciplinary Investigation & Reconstruction Team) is investigating this crash. This marks the Nevada State Police, Highway Patrol – Northern Command West 42nd fatal crash, resulting in 48 fatalities for 2023.
