Andrew “Andy” Lynn Rodolph U.S. Veteran

Andy passed away at his home in Stanwood, WA following a lengthy illness. His wife, Carmen, and his mother, Julie were with him.

Andy was born in Redlands, CA to Robert Lynn Rodolph and Julie Tahja Rodolph. He graduated from Carson High School. Prior to joining the Navy on his 21st birthday, Andy participated in high school rodeo, was a member of Warren Engine Company and the Pony Express Association. He attended WNCC. In 2019 he graduated from Excelsior University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Military Leadership.

During his 20-year career in the Navy, Andy served on the USS Josephus Daniels, the USS South Carolina, the USS George Washington, and the USS Abraham Lincoln. Shore duty included San Diego, CA, Norfolk, VA, Agana, Guam, Sigonella, Sicily, Whidbey Island, WA, and Iraq. He finished his career in San Diego in an EOD Training and Evaluation Unit.

Andy and Carmen retired to Stanwood, WA where they were active in the local art community. Andy was an accomplished woodworker and cabinet maker and developed a talent for making pottery.

Andy was predeceased by his father, Robert, grandparents Lynn and Martha Rodolph, Andrew and Marjorie Tahja and his best friend, Paul Laird.

In addition to his wife, Andy is survived by his first wife, Stacy and their daughter, Caitlyn and her children Wyatt, Annabeth, and Greyson, sister, Dawn and her husband Jay, niece and nephew, Rebecca, and Aaron. Also surviving are the extended Rodolph and Tahja families and friends.

A memorial service is being planned for a later date.
