Frances “Fran” Pritchard

Frances (Fran) Pritchard passed away March 13, 2022. Fran was 78 years old. She passed away peacefully in her sleep with her family close by.
Fran was well known in the valley for her ‘KillerSalsa.’ She opened her business renting a space at the Deli Stop that was located in Minden in 1993. She proceeded to trademark her very own recipe for a delicious fresh and healthy salsa. Frans business grew very quickly and
soon she had a salsa factory that produced her product for 25 years. Killer Salsa was sold in every major grocery store in Northern Nevada and Northern California including Costco and all the west coast Walmart stores. Fran sold the business in February 2019 so she could enjoy retirement.
Frans civic role in the community included taking part in many of the annual parades, craft fairs, benefits and social events in Minden. She was a member of the Sertoma Club and enjoyed entertaining and cooking delicious ethnic food for her friends and family especially
around the holidays. Frans real passion was her love of family and simple pleasures like sitting on her front porch or back deck sipping a glass of wine and enjoying her beautiful flowers and garden with her beloved Tom.
Fran was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, sister and friend. Her kindness to others is a rare quality that all who knew her experienced. She will be dearly missed forever.
Fran was preceded in death by her husband Lewis.
And is survived by her sons Christopher, Tim (Sheila) and Bryan. Beloved Tom, sisters Nancy Becker, Kathy Baio, Marge (Howie) Rein, Beth Bassett and Eileen (Mike) Wishnies. Also including many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be on Saturday, April 30,2022 from 10am until 3pm open house style at 1670 Belarra Dr. Minden, NV 89423
