Alice Carol (Ventura) McGreal

January 5, 1931 - December 29, 2022

Alice McGreal, 91, passed away peacefully. Born in Visalia, CA to Antonio G. Ventura and Joaquina Soares Ventura, she was the second eldest of six children. Alice grew up in Visalia and Aromas, CA. and graduated from Watsonville High in 1948. Alice moved to Sunnyvale for
a position at Westinghouse Electric and soon after met her husband Thomas who was in the Navy. As a Navy spouse, Alice lived in various places in the U.S. and abroad.

Alice worked for the Federal Government for over 20 years. She was the Housing Manager at Fort Ord, CA and Camp Darby, Italy. Alice was proud of her Portuguese heritage and enjoyed attending F.D.E.S events in Monterey. She enjoyed the company of others and participated in activities at St. Gall church, Red Hat Society, TOPS, Fleet Reserve Association, and the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association. Alice enjoyed her family above all else. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister and daughter.

Alice is survived by her daughter Kathleen (George) Buscay, sons Tom (Janet), Tim, John (Rose) and Danny (Kelly) and 12 grandchildren, 18 great grand children and 2 great-great grand children, and her brother Victor Ventura (Chris).

She was predeceased by her husband Tom, daughter Eleanor, her sister Eleanor and brothers John, Frank and Anthony.

A mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, January 21, at 11am, at St Gall Catholic Church,
Gardnerville, NV.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to St Gall Church Memorial Garden or the
Alzheimer’s Association.
