Wanda Lee Duke

On March 3,2023 Wanda, beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and Aunt
passed away at 83.
The youngest of 5 siblings, Wanda was born on September 19,1939 in Kennett Missouri to William Richard McCain and Virgia Irene Lewis. As an infant, her family boarded a train west and settled in Stockton California. It was at Mosswood Community Church in Stockton where Wanda met Rayburn, the love of her life. Her and Ray were soulmates from that moment on
and were married for 64 years.
Wanda was an amazing athlete, excelling in many sports, including fast pitch softball, tennis, bowling, horseshoes and she was the best water skier most people had ever seen. Wanda also loved camping, fishing and Square Dancing. An excellent seamstress, she sewed all of
their dancing outfits. Wanda loved her home and her flowers, but above all else Wanda’s greatest joy were her Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. She did love them so. She was also Aunt Wanda too many nieces and nephews and their children. She always had a smile and a big hug for them all.
Wanda is survived by her husband Ray, daughters, Lourie Duke, Linda (Brandon) Mathiesen, Grandchildren Mackenzie (Charlene) Murphy, Courtney (Tim) Duke, Great-Grandchildren Guinevere and Eleanor, Sister Marcell Pillus, Sister in-law Bonnie Herrera and numerous
nieces and nephews.
The world feels a little smaller with her gone, she will be missed.
