Roselyn Virginia Didier

January 2, 1932 - March 9, 2023

Roselyn Virginia Didier, 91, of Gardnerville, Nevada passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at her home with her daughter, son-in-law, and caregiver, Vickie, by her side. She had two amazing caregivers, Gloria and Vickie, who treated her like their own mother.

Roselyn was born on January 2, 1932, at Saint Francis Hospital in San Francisco, California to Larry and Clara Lorenzi. She attended Catholic School and graduated from St. Vincent High School in 1950. When she was a senior in high school she met the love of her life, Joseph
Earl Didier, Jr. (Earl). They were married at All Hallows Catholic Church in San Francisco on July 26, 1953 after Earl received an Honorable Discharge from the Navy.

She began her career as a beautician after receiving her Cosmetology license as a hairdresser and cosmetician on November 28, 1951. She owned her own beauty shop on 3rd Street in San Francisco. After adopting their first child, Lynn Marie, in December, 1958, she stayed at home to be a full-time wife and mother. In March of 1962, Roselyn and Earl adopted their second little girl, Annette Rose. She was very proud of adopting children that needed a good and loving home.

She was a very accomplished pianist. She began playing as a child and continued to play until a month before her death. One of her greatest passions was decorating her house. She enjoyed hosting the Rosary group and other various Church activities. Her home was always open to her friends and family.

While living in Burlingame, California she was an active member of the Italian Catholic Federation and Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church. Roselyn relocated to Nevada in May 1997 as a part-time resident to be closer to her daughter, Annette and her family. In September 2000, she became a full-time resident of Gardnerville. She joined the Rosary Group and Women’s Society at St. Gall Catholic Church. They could always count on her to bring
cakes and/or food for Church functions.

She will always be remembered for how she dressed and presented herself. Roselyn was a very classy, generous, and kind person. She was loved and will be deeply missed.

Roselyn was preceded in death by her husband, Earl, in 1991 and her daughter, Lynn, in 2021.

She is survived by her daughter Annette (Carey) Kangas, Grandchildren; Jake Kangas and Alyssa (Jarin) Goodrich, and Great Grandchildren; Amelia, Colton, and Harper.

Celebration of Life will be held at St. Gall Catholic Church at 1342 Centerville Ln., Gardnerville, NV on March 25, 2023 with the Rosary at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. A Committal Prayer Service will take place at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Colma, California on March 31, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.
