Barbara Lynn (Reed) Urbani

September 1, 1938 - January 7, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Lynn (Reed) Urbani (North Las Vegas, NV) who passed away at home on January 7, 2024. She passed surrounded by her immediate family. Barbara was born September 1, 1938, in Oneida, NY, and moved to California as a young adult where she met and married Frank Urbani in 1961. In 1967, they
moved to Carson City, NV where they made their home for 55 years.

Barbara loved any opportunity to laugh and have fun. She spent many years in the local bowling league with her friends. She loved any opportunity to travel. Frank and Barbara spent many years traveling across the United States starting in their truck camper in the 1960s, moving into a pop-up travel tent and later on the double pull-out RV which served as a second home. She loved to cruise to Alaska and anywhere else they could go. In her last 25 years she became a quilter. Some of her greatest joys came from creating unique quilts for every family member.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Frank Urbani, and their two daughters, Tami Urbani Brancamp (David) of Reno, and Laura Urbani Keller (Charles) of Carson City. She and Frank have four grandsons, Frank (Jessica), Nathan, Christopher (Timothy) and Jay, and two great-grandchildren Meila and Cameron. Her sister Joyce Reed Clydesdale predeceased her, and she is survived by her sisters Beatrice Watson and Jerry Garber and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Circle of Life Hospice who supported the family during Barbara’s last 5 months. A celebration of life will be held on May 4 in Reno, Nevada.
