One of the craziest proposals for Lake Tahoe was a 19th century plan to drain the lake and pipe the water to San Francisco.
Nevada has always had its fair share of dreamers, whether it’s sure-to-strike-it-rich miners or overly optimistic gamblers, so it’s probably no surprise that over the years the state has seen some pretty outrageous proposals.
