Carson City School District Superintendent Richard Stokes and his committee toured the former Capital Christian Center site at 1600 Snyder Ave. Wednesday to assess the facilities and provide input about its location, condition and viability about a potential site for a future district campus.
As the Carson City School Board prepares to vote on purchasing the property at 1600 Snyder Ave., on Oct. 22, Superintendent Richard Stokes announced at the Oct. 8 meeting a possible new interest from Carson Montessori School in leasing the former church facility.
Carson City Superintendent Richard Stokes’ citizens committee that has been meeting in recent weeks stated as a whole Wednesday night that the school district’s board of trustees should purchase the property on 1600 Snyder Ave.
Carson City School District Superintendent Richard Stokes says the appraisal has begun on 1600 Snyder Ave., and the school district has authorized the companies and individuals with whom it will be working with to begin the first-phase environmental analyses as part of the feasibility study on the property.
