Some may be just learning how to play golf. Others will simply be sharpening their skills, or warming up to watch PGA Tour players at the Reno-Tahoe Open.

Either way, youngsters 7 to 17 years of age are invited to participate free of charge in the Fred Alexander Memorial Junior Golf Clinic on Tuesday, Aug. 22, at Montreux Country Club in Reno.

The clinic will be held from 11:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. and will be followed by a celebrity skins game at 3.

The Reno-Tahoe Open will be held Aug. 24-27 at Montreux.

Instruction will be provided by PGA professionals. Youngsters will receive lunch, T-shirts and various prizes.

The clinic is presented by the Fred and Judy Alexander Foundation, Sierra Nevada Chapter of the Northern California PGA Section and the USGA.
