Bank of America contributes to area non-profit agencies

The Bank of America Foundation recently announced it contributed nearly $192,000 during the third quarter of 2000 to more than 20 non-profit and community-based organizations throughout Nevada.

This money helped fund a variety of programs and projects in the areas of education, health and human services, arts and culture and community development.

The non-profit and community groups receiving grants from the Bank of America Foundation during the months of July, August and September 2000, include the following:

Affordable Housing Resource Council, Arts Council of Henderson, Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows, Boys Hope/Girls Hope-Nevada, Clark County Health District, Classroom on Wheels, Community Services Agency & Development Co., Consumer Credit Counseling Service, Friends of KLVX TV Channel 10, Girl Scouts of The Sierra Nevada, Lutheran Social Services of Nevada, Mineral County Council on the Arts, Inc., Nature Conservancy, Nevada Homes for Youth, Nevada Opera Theatre, Nye County Senior Nutrition Program, Inc., Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe, Smart Start Day Care, Step 2, United Way of Southern Nevada, Westside New Pioneers Community Development Corp., Women's Development Center, YMCA of Southern Nevada.
