Bentley of Los Gatos, Los Gatos, Calif., has announced its title sponsorship of Beyond the West's Rally of Nevada 2000, to be held Sept. 25-30. This rally of exotic and historic automobiles is held in conjunction with and to benefit the Nevada Highway Patrol's "Shop With A Cop" program, a Nevada-based charitable organization, dedicated to the needs of underprivileged children.
Included in the schedule of events will be a pre-rally concourse to be held at the Naval Strike Warfare Center and Top Gun School, Fallon, on Sept. 24.
On Monday, Sept. 25 approximately 60 automobiles will be in the Carson Nugget's West Parking Lot from 1-3 p.m. Major marques represented include Bentley, Porsche, Lamborghini, Mercedes and examples of American automotive excellence.
This 100-plus miles rally, run in the style and spirit of the Italian Mille Miglia will be headquartered at John Asquaga's Nugget Hotel and Resort with drivers traversing the western portion of Nevada during the actual four-day run.
A deluxe charity auction will also be held to benefit "Shop With A Cop."
Beyond the West, established in 1993 and based in Norfolk, Mass. is a not-for-profit organization comprised of exotic car owners and enthusiasts.
The Beyond the West Rally travels on a yearly basis; the state of Utah is the destination planned for the year 2001.
