A body discovered in the hills east of Hidden Valley is that of a young woman.
Washoe County Sheriff's investigators are trying to identify the woman, whose body was found two miles east of Lingfield.
The body was found by a passer-by at about 3 p.m. Friday.
The woman is described as being 18 to 25 years old, weighing about 115 pounds, with long blonde hair. She was wearing dark blue jean shorts, a white T-shirt, black windbreaker, white socks and black Adidas sport sandals.
Anyone with information about the woman is being asked to call the Washoe County Sheriff's Office at 382-3001 or Secret Witness at 322-4900.
