Legislative Counsel Bureau deputy director honored

The deputy director of Nevada's Legislative Counsel Bureau has been honored by the National Conference of State Legislatures.

Steve Watson was presented a 2000 Legislative Staff Achievement Award at the conference's recent meeting in Chicago. The nomination was made by the conference's staff section dealing with services and security.

Watson was also elected to a second term as a member of NCSL's Executive Committee.

Watson has been deputy director for the Nevada Legislative Counsel Bureau since 1988. LCB is the staff operation which supports the Nevada Legislature, providing services ranging from issues research, budget analysis and bill drafting to operation of the legislative building.
