A graveside service for Barbara Lee Field, 57, a Carson City resident for the past 14 years and former Gardnerville resident, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Happy Homestead Cemetery at South Lake Tahoe with Father Jerry Hanley officiating.

Mrs. Field died Nov. 6, 2000, at Washoe Medical Center. She was born June 21, 1943, in Stockton, Calif., to J.B. and Nicolena DePosta Osborne.

She graduated from South Lake Tahoe High School in 1961. She married Stan E. Field Jan. 18, 1964, in Zephyr Cove.

Mrs. Field worked for C.C. Meneley Elementary School in Gardnerville as a teacher's aide for five years. She also worked for First Interstate Bank in Carson City for seven years and the State Industrial Insurance System of Nevada for seven years. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi in Gardnerville for five years and a member of St. Gall Catholic Church. She enjoyed traveling, cooking and her family.

She was preceded in death by her mother in 1995 and sister Linda Osborne in 1969.

Among her survivors are her husband Stan and father J.B., both of Carson City, and sons Anthony J. of Minden and Rob A. of Berkeley.

FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home, Gardnerville, is in charge of arrangements.
