Letter: Change is needed, put Bush in the White House

Al Gore hammers big business, favors nationalized insurance, endorses federal assistance to public schools (to ensure government involvement) and opposes vouchers which would allow parents an alternative to public schools.

He would be deliriously delighted to see the NRA fold, especially if it was his doing. The Clinton-Gore administration embraces the socialist concept of government, and Gore would certainly continue to stay on course. His promiscuous boss taught him well! Gore is a superb liar with an incredible ability to assume another one's popular point, idea, suggestion or platform and ingeniously becomes inventor of same.

Gore can address any particular person or group of people and spuriously tries to convince his audience by telling them exactly what they want to hear. Gore recently addressing a black church group, sanctimoniously with stentorian voice, asked the congregation to do the work of the Lord (referring to their assistance in getting him elected). He also informed the congregation he was a proud NAACP member.

The third and last debate was Gore's chance to again lambast Bush. Gore disputed Bush's stance and viewpoints regarding the needs of the military. Gore stated U.S. military was the strongest and best equipped in the world. (Military leaders refute that statement.) Gore stated Bush is completely incorrect when he (Bush) says government is excessively large. Gore states government has been reduced by over 300,000 people. What he did not reveal to American voters was the 300,000 plus came from the reduction of the armed forces.

Getting back to education, Bush slipped up! He should have fortified his proposed education program including vouchers, reducing wasted federal funds and government interference by informing the voters of a recent nationwide teen character study that revealed the nation's high school students lie excessively, cheat a lot and many show up for class drunk. Sixty eight percent admitted they hit someone because they were angry.

Girl Scout liberal activist leaders have now introduced a new curriculum for your daughters, birth control and abortion. U.S. oil is being sent to an unfriendly nation. Fanciful Hollywood, acting, glamor, and $$ at the Democratic convention. Gore accepted their donation and then criticized R-rated movies and CDs. If elected, Gore stated he would give Hollywood six months to straighten up or else. Sure he would!

Gore proclaims his strong approval regarding women's rights to do with their bodies what they please. I remember the Supreme Court's decision to limit state's power to ban so-called partial birth abortion. Clinton stated, "Today's decision recognizes this principle and marks an important victory for a woman's freedom of choice." His statement was followed by a defining statement stating: Doctors call the method dilation and extracting a fetus, legs first through the birth canal, cutting the skull and draining its contents. This is freedom of choice? No matter what you call it, the result is murder.

Prayer is not tolerated in schools but TV trash, vulgarity and obscenity including TV personalities like Howard Stern are OK.

Concerned? Believe me, I am. Existing policies, agenda and morals need to be addressed. A change is needed.
