In response to the letter from Barbara Meyers, the candidate for State Board of Education, calling for the Appeal to disallow future articles by Mr. Bob Thomas. Ms. Meyers is a classic example of why some people are not cut out for political office.

If she had read the subject of the article, she would have seen that Mr. Thomas was referring to Michelle Trusty-Murphy's defeat as a candidate as justified (in his opinion) not because she is Jewish, but that she was not qualified for the job.

I, too, follow Mr. Thomas' articles and respect his opinion concerning state politics. He is usually right on with his views of what is happening on the state level.

It would really be a stretch to think that Mr. Thomas was anti-Semetic or mean-spirited in any way after reading his article. That wasn't his intent.

I hope to continue to see articles by Mr. Thomas. I find him a refreshing change from the views of the liberal bias.
