A 24-year-old Mexican immigrant was arrested Wednesday evening, suspected of holding a teenage girl against her will and forcing himself on her.
Oscar Carreon-Iturriaga was charged with sexual assault of a minor and gross misdemeanor counts of false imprisonment and lewdness. He is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
According to arrest reports, Carreon-Iturriaga went into a bathroom at a residence on Long Street where the victim - who was under 16 years old -was naked, apparently preparing to take a shower.
The victim stated she repeatedly told Carreon-Iturriaga to leave, but instead he grabbed and groped her. He reportedly made sexual penetration before the incident ended.
Carreon-Iturriaga is a resident off the 2000 block of Lone Mountain Drive. He is listed as unemployed and has lived in the area for approximately three years.
The girl's mother and grandfather reported the incident to the sheriff's department.
