Anglers, who like to fish in the state of California, are reminded of an up-coming closure.

All of the waters in both Inyo and Mono Counties, will close to fishing for the 2000 calendar year, at sunset on Oct. 31.

Those fishing waters include such popular destinations as the East Walker River, the West Walker River, the Little Walker River, Bridgeport Reservoir, Kirman (Carmen) Lake, Upper and Lower Twin Lakes, Robinson Creek, Buckeye Creek, the Virginia Lakes Area, Lundy Lake, the June Lake Loop (Grant, Gull, June and Silver Lakes), Rush Creek, Convict Lake, Convict Creek, the Mammoth Lakes area (George, Mamie, Mary and Twin Lakes), Crowley Lake, South Lake, North Lake, Sabrina Lake, Bishop Creek, etc.

Those waters in Mono and Inyo Counties will not re-open to fishing until the last Saturday in April.

So, if you would like one last chance to fish your favorite location in either Mono or Inyo County for 2000, you had better hurry, because you are rapidly running out of time.

In fact, you only have 13 days left. So, don't delay!

Anglers are also reminded that when fishing in California, they must wear their fishing license above the waist, where it is readily visible.
