Charlotte Joan Benjamin, 68, a Minden resident for the past 10 years, died July 11, 2000, in Minden. She was born Oct. 3, 1931, in McCook, Neb., to Sidney and Thelma Wood Hiner.
Before moving to Minden, she lived in Atascadero, Calif.
Mrs. Benjamin was a secretary for Rockwell International for 40 years. She enjoyed crocheting and reading. She was a past member of the Quota Club in Atascadero and was a nondenominational Christian and a member of the Carson Valley Community Church in Douglas County.
Among her survivors are her husband, Don, of Minden; son William H. of Paso Robles, Calif.; daughter Twyla K. Gilliam of Mission Viejo, Calif.; brother Gary Hiner of Phoenix, Ariz.; sisters, Cherie Rheinhart of Denver, Colo., Bonnie Baller of Tustin, Calif. and Linda Falter of Boise, Idaho and five grandchildren.
Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley, Crematory and Cemetery is in charge of arrangements.
