Obituary: Erminie Johnson Shobert

Erminie Johnson Shobert, 92, a Carson City resident for 26 years, died Aug. 25 at Sierra Convalescent Home.

Born Oct. 10, 1908 in Rockfort, N.Y., to Harold Putnam and Hattie Adelia Gaiser Johnson

She married Miles Shobert in Los Angeles May 4, 1929.

She began her career as a teller at Valley National Bank in Pasadena, Calif. She later worked at the Carson Nugget as a cashier. A Baptist, Mrs. Shobert, was a member of First Baptist Church in Los Angels.

Mrs. Shobert was preceded in death by her husband in 1984, her sons George in 1933, Carl in 1982, Mitchell St. in 1994, and granddaughter Pamela in 1989.

She is survived by her daughter, Beverly of Carson City; grandson Mitchell Jr. and wife Debby, both of Carson City; granddaughters Cathleen of Carson City, Sherri of Reno; great-grandchildren Angela, Katelyn, Jess, Karena, Alexa, Cassidy, Dari Jean and Hunter Shobert.

No services have been planned.
