Katherine L. Dean, 87, a West Chester, Ohio resident, died July 15, 2000 at Mason Christian Village in Mason, Ohio. She was born Aug. 20, 1912, in Springfield, Mass., to Alfred and Lucy Eaton Kendall.
Prior to moving to Ohio, she lived in Carson City for 25 years.
Mrs. Dean was a homemaker. She was a Protestant.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernal Sr.
Among her survivors are her son Vernal Jr. of West Chester.
A private graveside service was held at Walton's Carson Gardens.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley, Crematory and Cemetery is in charge of arrangements.
