Obituary: LeeRoy Claybrook

A funeral for LeeRoy Claybrook, 89, a Carson City resident for the past 25 years, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at FitzHenry's Funeral Home.

Mr. Claybrook died Dec. 9, 2000, at his home. He was born Dec. 17, 1910, in Beatty Township, Ark., to Oliver C. and Nora Ford Claybrook.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Southern California.

Mr. Claybrook was a retired blacksmith. He was active with the Carson City Senior Citizens Center and a senior center in Southern California. He enjoyed playing pool and won the senior championship in 1990. He enjoyed spending time with his friends at the Carson Nugget Casino.

He was preceded in death by his wife Verna in 1992 in Carson City.

Among his survivors are his daughters Barbara Ricchio of Hacienda Heights, Calif., and Betty Case of Carson City; sister Ruth Touchstone of Carson City; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Burial will be at Lone Mountain Cemetery.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
