Obituary: Marian Lucille Oswald

Marian Lucille Oswald, 77, a Carson City resident for the past two years, died Dec. 8, 2000, at her home. She was born March 7, 1923, in St. Paul, Minn., to Leonard and Agatha Jackley Sievert.

Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Lake Commanche, Calif.

Mrs. Oswald worked as a secretary in the electronics industry. She loved bowling, reading and her cats. She was a Catholic.

She served in the U.S. Coast Guard.

She was preceded in death by her husband Otto C. Oswald.

Among her survivors are her son Sean of Orange County, Calif.; daughter Melissa Oswald of Morgan Hills, Calif.; brother Jim Sievert of Ripon, Calif.; and sisters Barbara Wickman of Houston, Texas, and Rita Bartos of Minneapolis, Minn.

Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley, Crematory and Cemetery is in charge of arrangements.
