WASHINGTON - Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev., reports the Regional Transportation Commission in Washoe County will get $2.2 million to buy a new administration building.

He said the money will allow RTC to centralize operations to deal with growing transportation challenges. At present, RTC is located in three different facilities in Reno.

The money comes from a federal Department of Transportation grant. It will be used to buy a building on Villanova Drive to house the staff.
