While an 11-year-old boy was taken into custody for possession of bullets, he had no weapon.

The boy was taken to the juvenile detention center Wednesday when it was learned he was in possession of a box of bullets at school, according to police reports.

Seeliger Elementary School officials called police after they learned the boy was showing the bullets, a 50-round box of .22 caliber - to classmates. No other weapons were found and officials said it was likely nothing more than the child showing off.

Chief Sheriff's Deputy Scott Burau said schools and his department have a no tolerance policy when it comes to weapons. "Those days are long gone," he said.

There was no threat of violence
