The University of Nevada women's soccer team plays its' second pre-season scrimmage on the road today against the University of San Francisco at 7 p.m. On Wednesday, the Wolf Pack dropped a 2-0 decision to Pacific University at Mendive Middle School in Sparks, the team's home field for the 2000 season.

"It was great to see all the effort, excitement, and interest people have put into to make the first scrimmage a success," coach Dang Pibulvech said after the game. "Everyone's enthusiasm carried over to the team and made them more comfortable and confident."

The Lady Dons, who finished 3-15-2 last season, played Pepperdine University to 2-2 tie earlier in the week in their first scrimmage of the season. They return 16 players, including 7 starters from a team that didn't win a game in the West Coast Conference last season.

The Wolf Pack begins the season on the road against Sacramento State on August 27. Their first home game is September 3 against Fresno St.

Three local players Stephanie Webb, Kathryn Hernandez (Douglas High), and Christina Fujita (Galena High) are on the Wolf Pack roster. Fujita was a All Carson Country selection after tallying seven goals and four assists for the Grizzlies last season. As a senior for the Tigers, Webb was a honorable mention All Carson Country midfielder. Hernandez was a standout goalkeeper at Douglas who went on to Gonzaga.
