Women's studies workshop offered by UNR

Independent Study Literature Workshop: Women's Journeys (ENGL499/533) will be offered by the University of Nevada, Reno on Friday and Saturday.

"Women's Journeys" will consist of presentations and workshops focusing on the varieties of ways women have journeyed both physical and metaphorical. This two-day workshop is intended for participants who are interested in women's growth and knowledge including literary, artistic, philosophical, sociopolitical and personal.

Presenters include poets and writers, high school and college teachers, artists and actors and Young Chautauquans.

The workshop will be from 4-10 p.m. Friday at Jot Travis Student Union, Room 246, and 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday at the university's Midby-Byron Center. The course fee is $78 for one undergraduate credit or $104 for one graduate credit plus a $40 workshop fee.

The instructor is Susan Tchudi, Ph.D., professor of English.
