Arts group announces winners of Flower Power art show

The Nevada Artists Association announced winners of its Flower Power art show recently held at the King Street Gallery. The show is on display through June 16.

Best of Show: "Spring Couple" by Reiko Herrin. Show Committee Award: "Spring Celebration" by Melba Oliver.

Acrylics - "Barrel Cactus" by Lonnie Massotty, first place; "Garden Impressions" by Lynn Kelly, second; "Bouquet" by Lynn Kelly, third; honorable mention, "Old Fashion" by Lonnie Massotty and "Front Porch Visitors" by Lonnie Massotty.

Pastels - "Trouble" by Nevada Hale-Byron, first; "Iceberg" by Ken Blakely, second; "St Peters in Springtime" by Nevada Hale-Byron, third; honorable mention, "Purple Flowers" by Nevada Hale-Byron and "Summer Roses" by Mary Nell Alley.

Mixed Media - "Just Imagine" by Lynn Kelly, first; "Island Dreams" by Ann Cameron; "Pretty and Simple" by Carol Foldvary-Anderson, third; honorable mention, "The Garden" by Dorrine Sadilik and "Cosmic Flower" by Ann Cameron.

Oils - "Spring Basket" by Nadine Prior, first; "Market Place" by Dorothy Paulsen, second; "Twin River View" by Louise Riley; honorable mention, "A Hiding Place" by Patt Skinner and "What You See is What You Get" by Christie McLaughlin.

Watermedia - "Nevada Spring II" by Patricia Gray, first; "Abstract Floral" by Betty Gilman, second; "Oriental Splendor" by Michele Johnson, third; honorable mention, "Sunflowers" by Pat Holub and "Lilacs and Peaches" by Ruth Carlyle.
