A 32-year-old Carson City man is behind bars after a 13-year-old girl told a middle-school counselor that he sexually assaulted her.
David A. Sedig was arrested following interrogation by a Carson City sheriff's detective. According to reports, when he was brought in for questioning he first denied and then later admitted to the sexual deviance.
The girl reportedly told investigators that the alleged abuse had been going on since she was 10 years old.
Sedig, a Carson City salesman, was charged with suspicion of sexual assault on a child under the age of 14 and held on $20,000 bail.
