Carson City Republican Women's Club luncheon features Assemblyman Hettrick

State Assemblyman Lynn Hettrick will be the featured speaker at the June 20 meeting of the Carson City Republican Women's Club. His talk will center on gun control legislation.

In acknowledgement of Flag Day, the club will recognize all veterans in attendance and pay special tribute to our country's flag. A special honor guard will present the colors.

Elected to the Legislature in 1993, Assemblyman Hettrick served as co-speaker of the Assembly in 1995-96 and as minority leader since 1997. He is a member of the Governing Board of the Council of State Governments, currently serving as vice chair of the Western Region.

Hettrick's District 39 covers all of Douglas County and the southern portion of Carson City.

An investment and property manager, he is co-founder and General Partner of R.I.D.L., Ltd, co-founder and president of Select Investments, Inc., and co-founder and co-manager of Im-Pruv-All Tire Stores.

The Carson City Republican Women meet the third Tuesday of each month at the Carson Nugget. A social hour begins at 11 a.m., followed by a buffet lunch at 11:30am. Lunch is $12 per person.
