A 26-year-old Carson City child care worker was arrested Friday for investigation of alleged child abuse while watching her sister's children Thursday night.

Carolyn Anderson, who listed her employer as Eagle Valley Children's Home, was booked on four alleged counts of gross misdemeanor child abuse and held on $2,500 bail.

The Carson City Sheriff's Office received a report about 6:15 a.m. Friday from a woman who said her sister had abused the caller's 3-year-old child the night before.

A sheriff's detective then contacted Anderson at Eagle Valley Children's Home, where the suspect said that she had enough of her own children and got carried away in disciplining them, according to the arrest report.

Anderson said she was also taking care of her sister's four children at the time and had repeatedly hit children ages 15 months to 7 years old, the report said. Three of the children had redness and bruising on the buttocks and lower back areas and two had fingernail impressions on the sides of their necks, according to the report.

Anderson told the detective that she could not handle her children any more and needed help with her anger, the report said.
