The deadline for submission of names for the Carson City Community Awards is Wednesday.
Nominations for academic of the year, artist of the year, athlete of the year, boss of the year, employee of the year, humanitarian of the year and organization of the year are being sought.
Nominations may be delivered to the newspaper at 200 Bath Street, mailed to Jeff Ackerman, Nevada Appeal, P.O. Box 2288, Carson City, Nev. 89702, or e-mailed to Appeal@Tahoe.com.
The awards will be held at the Pinon Plaza on June 8.
