Four teams are all set to do battle in Carson City this coming weekend in the NIAA/U.S. Bank 4A State Boys Soccer Tournament.

Two representatives from the North - the South Tahoe Vikings and Douglas Tigers - will face two from the South - the Green Valley Gators and Bishop Gorman Gaels - starting on Friday at Carson High School.

Sunrise Region champion Green Valley plays Douglas in Friday's first match at 11 a.m. Sunset Region champion Gorman plays South Tahoe in the other opener at 2 p.m.

The two winners play for the state championship Saturday at 10 a.m. at Carson High.

South Tahoe was a 4-3 victor over Douglas in the Northern 4A zone finals this past Saturday in a battle decided by penalty kicks.

Green Valley, which won the 1997 state title at Carson, defeated Las Vegas in the Sunrise final Saturday. Gorman beat Durango 2-0 in the Sunset final.
