GOP Women's Club installs new officers

The Carson City Republican Women's Club recently installed its new officers.

Those selected include: president, Taunya Milligan; president elect, Audrey Rich; vice president, Jodi Costa; secretary, Alicia Eidel and treasurer, Dorothea Jones.

Andrea Hunter was honored as the club's Entrepreneur of the Year. The annual award is given to a member of the GOP women's club who has proven to be a successful business woman.

Hunter owns and is sole employee of Desktop Designs, a producer of newsletters, brochures, flyers and presentation materials.

Betty Bensinger was specially recognized for more than 35 years of service to the club. She has served on the board of directors, chaired many successful events and been instrumental in convincing Carson City to install a new kitchen at the Community Center.

The Carson City Republican Women's Club meets the third Tuesday of each month at the Carson Nugget. Social hour begins at 11 a.m. and a buffet lunch is served at 11:30 a.m. with a guest speaker featured after lunch. Cost is $12 per person and the public is welcome to attend.
