The Carson Valley Ladies Tennis Club will start the 2000 season on Friday at Lampe Park with a round-robin tournament and a potluck brunch.
The event is scheduled to start at 8:30 a.m. and there will be a short club meeting before play begins.
In addition to the tennis, the day's activities will also include a canned food drive and/or cash donations to benefit Carson Valley Community Food Closet.
On Fridays, the club reserves the tennis courts at Lampe Park from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m..
New players of all levels are welcome. The cost to join the club is $20 per year.
