RENO - Volunteer Lawyers of Washoe County is now offering free legal assistance at the Washoe County Law Library in downtown Reno.

No formal legal advice will be given but the "Lawyer in the Library" program will help people with the legal process and offer background information.

A volunteer lawyer will be available every Wednesday except for holidays at the library in the courthouse, 75 Court Street, room 101. The lawyer will be available from 5 to 7 p.m.

General guidance on topics such as domestic relations, estate planning, immigration, bankruptcy and labor law will be offered.
