NDOW fish plants in this area

According to a spokesperson from the Nevada Division of Wildlife (NDOW) Mason Valley Fish Hatchery, these are some recent fish plants in this general area of Western Nevada:


June 5 - Virginia Lake in downtown Reno received 2,900 Tasmanian-strain rainbow trout, which averaged 10.5 inches in length.


June 5 - The Truckee River in the Reno area, 1,500 Tasmanian-strain rainbow trout, 10.5 inches.


June 5 - The West Walker River in Douglas and Lyon Counties, 2,500 Tasmanian-strain rainbow trout, 10 inches.


June 6 - The East Walker River in The Elbow, Raccoon Beach and Zenis areas of Lyon County, a total of 3,000 Tasmanian-strain rainbow trout, 10.5 inches.


June 7 - The pond at San Rafael Park in downtown Reno, 500 Eagle Lake-strain and 500 Tasmanian-strain rainbow trout, 11.5 inches.


June 7 - The Carson River in the Dayton area of Lyon County, 973 Tasmanian-strain rainbow trout, 10 inches.


June 7 - The Carson River, east of Carson City, 1,000 Tasmanian-strain rainbow trout, 10 inches.


June 7 - The East Carson River in the "Old Broken Dam" area of Douglas County, 1,500 Tasmanian-strain rainbow trout, 10 inches.


June 9 - Idlewild Park in downtown Reno, 877 Tasmanian-strain rainbow trout, 12.5 inches and 3,128 Eagle Lake-strain rainbow trout, 11 inches.


June 9 - Davis Creek Park in Washoe Valley, 500 Eagle Lake-strain rainbow trout, 11 inches.


June 9 - Wilson Common in Washoe Valley, 4,500 Eagle Lake-strain rainbow trout, 11 inches.
