The Nevada Wildlife Federation (NvWF) will hold its annual meeting on May 6.

That meeting will be held at the Red Hawk Golf Course Clubhouse in Spanish Springs, east of Sparks.

To reach the clubhouse, take I-80 east from Sparks to the Vista Blvd. exit. Then travel north on Vista Blvd. for seven miles until it dead ends at a construction site. Turn left and in one block you will see the entrance to the golf course.

There will be a NvWF board of directors meeting beginning at 8:30 a.m. That will be followed by a luncheon and an awards ceremony to honor the 2000 recipients of various NvWF awards.

Included in the award winners are Dick Biggs of Carson City as State Conservationist of The Year and Dr. Ron Panik of Carson City as State Conservation Educator of The Year.

Following the luncheon, the organization will hold its annual meeting and the election of officers.
