TUCSON, Ariz. - Bo Bryant's eighth-inning grand slam, his first hit of the season, rallied the University of Nevada's baseball team to a 10-7 victory over Arizona on Friday in the first of a three-game series.

Bryant's homer knocked in four of the five runs the Wolf Pack (5-3) scored in the eighth. Nevada had only one unearned run off Arizona starter Ben Diggins through six innings, but it broke through for nine in the final three innings and made a Chad Qualls (1-0) the winner.

Qualls survived a five-run third and pitched eight total innings.

Nevada junior right fielder Josh Laidlaw collected four hits, while senior Joe Inglett scored three runs.

Nevada and Arizona (7-4) play again today and Sunday. Both games have 1 p.m. starting times.
