Obituary: Cleo N. Brotherton

A funeral for Cleo N. Brotherton, 82, a Carson City resident for the past nine years, will be at 3:30 p.m. today at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.

Mrs. Brotherton died May 23, 2000, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. She was born Jan. 6, 1918, in Illinois to Walter and Lace Smith Neace.

Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Sun City, Calif.

Mrs. Brotherton was a homemaker. She was a member of the U.S. Merchant Marine Club, the Elks Club and she was active at the Senior Citizen Center. She enjoyed gardening, dancing and traveling.

Among her survivors are her husband Ken of Carson City; sons Greg Giese and Steve Brotherton, both of California; daughters Judy Hamilton of Riverside, Calif., and Vicki Colodny of Carson City, and brother Jack Neace of Illinois.

Burial will be at Lone Mountain Cemetery.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley, Crematory and Cemetery is in charge of arrangements.
