A funeral for Evelyn (Lynn) Smith, 71, a Carson City and Reno resident for the past 46 years, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Corpus Christi Catholic Church.
Visiation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Waltons with a Rosary at 7 p.m.
Mrs. Smith died May 2, 2000, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. She was born March 6, 1929, in New York, to Gerhard and Stephanie Swiderski Olsen.
Before moving to this area, she lived in Brooklyn, N.Y.
Mrs. Smith was a former secretary, working for John Ascuaga and later in various state agencies including serving as secretary to many directors of the Nevada Department of Human Resources for many years. She was a Catholic.
Among her survivors are her husband, William of Carson City; son, Robert, of Potsdam, N.Y.; cousins, Leona Connor, Lorraine Groth and Henry Krut.
Interment will be at Lone Mountain Cemetery.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley, Crematory and Cemetery, is in charge of arrangements.
