Obituary: Jeanne Michael

A private memorial service is scheduled for Jeanne Michael, 76, a Carson City resident for the past nine years.

Mrs. Michael died April 14, 2000, at her home. She was born May 28, 1923, in West Mississippi, to William C. and Jennie Arnold Thweatt.

Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Las Vegas for 40 years.

Mrs. Michael retired from a management position at the Tropicana Hotel.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, in 1994.

Among her survivors are her daughters, Pamela Jochim and husband Kenneth of Carson City and Sherilyn Rorie and husband Trevis of Moraga, Calif.; sons, Douglas Parker and John Parker, both of Nevada; sisters, Lil Dronet of Las Vegas, Anne Thweatt and Barbara Sharp, both of North Carolina; brother, Buddy Thweatt of New York and six grandchildren.

Cremation will be at Walton's Carson Sierra Crematory.
