Obituary: June Hellmann Moore

A memorial service for June Hellmann Moore, 65, a Washoe Valley resident for the past 28 years, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.

Mrs. Moore died Jan. 23, 2000, at her residence. She was born June 23, 1934, in New York City, N.Y., to Richard and Nina Maxwell Hellmann.

She attended East Coast schools, graduating from Shipley School in Bryn Mawr, Pa., and continued her education in New York and Reno.

Before moving to Washoe Valley, she lived in Reno, and she and her husband spent 14 years at their winter home in Mulege, BC Mexico.

Mrs. Moore was a homemaker. She loved the outdoors, especially fishing, and her animals, birds and gardening. She was an avid horsewoman.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert Hellmann and Raymond Hellmann.

Among her survivors are her husband, Robert, of Washoe Valley; son, Scott Smith, of Sparks; daughter, Linda Yarbrough, of Kingman, Ariz.; sister, Carol Dwonard, of Redding, Calif. and five grandchildren.

Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley, Crematory and Cemetery is in charge of arrangements.
