Obituary: Karl M. Barker

A graveside service for Karl M. Barker, a Carson City resident, will be at 12:30 p.m. Monday in William Wolff Cemetery in Macon, Ga., with Rabbi Edward Paul Cohn officiating.

Mr. Barker died March 27, 2000.

Mr. Barker was a retired major in the U.S. Army, served in the Army Signal Corps and was stationed at Robins Air Force Base, Ga., and at Edwards Air Force Base, California. He then worked as a civilian as a management analyst for the U.S. Air Force and was a former governor of the Royal Order of the Moose in Riverside, Calif.

Among his survivors are his wife, Juliette Gans Barker, formerly of Carson City; two half-sisters; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.

Hart's Mortuary, Macon, is in charge of arrangements.
