Rex E. Hanes, 51, a Carson City and Reno resident for several years, died May 30, 2000, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. He was born May 18, 1949, in Twin Falls, Idaho.
Mr. Hanes was an arborist.
He was a Vietnam veteran, serving in the U.S. Army.
Among his survivors are his daughter Stephanie Tillman of North Carolina; son Rocky Hanes of San Francisco; brothers Charles and Ernie, both of Twin Falls and three grandchildren.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
