Obituary: William Robert Housel

A celebration of life for William Robert Housel, 19, a Reno resident and 1998 Carson High School graduate, will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1837 N. Mountain St. in Carson City.

Mr. Housel died March 16, 2000, at his home. He was born May 13, 1980, in Carson City to Victor Housel and Connie Rockman.

Mr. Housel was a recent resident of Reno after living most of his 19 years in Carson City.

He played baseball on the varsity team at Carson High and played in several Little League and Babe Ruth state tournaments.

He was a cameraman for KRNV.

Among his survivors are his father Victor Housel of Carson City and his mother Connie Rockman of Ypsilanti, Mich.; brothers Richard Housel of Carson City and Jeff Deitch of Reno;and three sisters, Katie Ray of Dearborn, Mich., Amanda Housel of Incline Village and Laura Deitch of Carson City.

Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.

Memorial contributions may be made to SPCA, c/o KRNV-TV, 1790 Vassar St., Reno or Carson City Little League, c/o Rick's Floor Covering, 3640 S. Curry St., Carson City.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home in Carson City is in charge of arrangements.
