Pack women lose at Boise State

BOISE, Idaho - The University of Nevada women's basketball team fell 68-64 to Boise State in a Big West contest played Sunday..


Four of Nevada's five starters finished in double figures, led by freshman Kate Smith and junior Angie Heer, both of whom had 15 points apiece.


Boise State (13-11, 6-5 Big West) closed to within a game of the Wolf Pack (17-7, 7-4) in the eastern division standings.


Senior guard Ant Bryant added 12 points and sophomore Katie Golomb pitched in with 10 points for the Pack.


Nevada was 12-for-12 from the free-throw line in the game, but it shot just 35 percent from the field, including 27 percent in the second half.


Boise State, which outscored Nevada 40-29 in the second half, shot 52 percent from the field in the second half and 49 percent for the game.


The Wolf Pack will continue its road swing, heading to New Mexico State on Friday and to UC Santa Barbara on Sunday.
